From a young age, I loved building things. I started with building mousetrap vehicles. Soon, I was building electric go-karts and specializing in building assistive technologies like FingerReader and Penpal.

By engineering impactful products, I felt empowered in an unfamiliar way. Why can't all education be this empowering? I became passionate about changing how and what we teach in classrooms. In 2016, I became a teacher at the Nueva School.

In 2018, I spun out a class of mine into Project Invent, a national nonprofit democratizing innovation in education. Today, we're empowering students to invent solutions to real problems in their communities and become the leaders and changemakers we need.
